DjShadow: Prob a good idea since its rebooted like 30 times since 6pm, prob too late

Edit: Can DLM be reset if its kicked in again due to too many reboots?

Yes / No. Mixed results when its reset @hio77 and i have found.

I think from my experiences they all conclude. leave it alone. Don't touch it with a 10ft pole. One person wanted it reset today, 50160 down and 10336 up turned into 32416 down and 9048 up. Reset DLM as it was on DLM-5.

LOL. the irony...

your lines been reset a crazy amount of times!

DjShadow: *sigh* just wish Vodafone had fibre offerings with Ultrafast Fibre Ltd, wouldn't need to worry about DLM then

It will come

I thought you couldn't comment on future plans?

Sorry, couldn't resist! ;-)

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Effectively its inevitable for Vodafone and most ISP's to provide everywhere. But if we were to say "we are now selling UFF next week" thats a worry for whoever said that.

So, new router showed up today and was running fine all day. I get home from work, hook up my external HDD and set a SAMBA password....it started going into a reboot loop like the old router. Have disconnected the HDD & removed the SAMBA password...seems to be holding up so far. Not sure why this would of just started as the external HDD has its own power supply.

Probably noise coming from the power source. Or its just bugged.

I'm keen to come back to Vodafone now that VDSl is available, and at a great discount price with on account mobile.

But I'd love to avoid the contract if possible, and just wonder how much 'connecting' I need since I already have VDSL with another provider.
i.e. I have a VDSL modem and wiring/jackpoint already.

I suspect I wouldn't fit the script if I ring up sales, so I haven't braved that yet.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

I am sure you will need to pay a connection fee then

That's separate (or separateable?) from vdsl wiring and connection then?

Feel free to tell me to call sales, I will eventually...

How are you testing where are you testing to? If testing over WiFi then please use a cable plugged into modem and test

If you could post xDSL modem line stats as well then we might be able to see what is going on

Did you test over WiFi and have you restarted the modem?
