MikeB4:

I wont ring VF again as the experience is what I imagine getting a colonoscopy is like.

Fentanyl and midazolam is delivered via IV, most find it pleasant.

Speeds this morning are just hopeless, once I am up and about I will do another power cycle to see if it helps but I am not holding my breath.

I am going to use my phones hotspot as it's doing better than my *cough* gigabit fixed connection

Apologies all, a couple of nodes issues this morning - under investigation - can't show on the website (new website) but will advise as and when I hear more.

My connection yesterday was flaky in the arvo according to the kids (WWG node I believe), but a modem restart sorted that out. I have no idea whats changed or happened, since I can't log into the damn thing anymore :-)

I had agreed with VF to persevere, I regret that a lot right now.

Waiting to hear back from Vodafone, my wife has given a deadline of lunchtime that's when she gets back from her business trip. That's a deadline that must be obeyed, I agree with her she cannot have this rubbish any further.

She Who Must Be Obeyed wants fibre.

She is a wise woman.

Get fibre and enjoy a decent internet connection. smile

I decided not to waste my time rebooting as the problem is not inside my house. My current slowness is 34.9mbps download.

@Sideface yep you are not wrong.

I like the new look Vodafone web page,  however they need to be honest about their network status on the page. Doing so would probably take pressure off the Contact Centres

I agree.  It doesn't ever seem to reflect reality.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Clearly there are still ongoing issues with the network as its stability is very questionable. FibreX (and I hate calling it that) is now 12 months old and far from perfect.

Old school loyalty (stupidity) also still under contract and I was told I would have to pay ETC
