I sure hope not! I pay $54.95 for naked cable at the moment, the cheapest I can see on the Vodafone website is $85 without an "On Account mobile calling plan" whatever that is.

I hope I am not double answering here but what that is is that you can get 50 GB of naked broadband for $85 but if you have a mobile phone with Vodafone on a post paid plan you can get $30 off the naked dsl plans

Yes it is. I see your point now it is $85 with a mobile phone on their cheapest postpaid plan or with no mobile phone at all

Finally got to the end of the our 1 year period with Telstraclear and their $75 a month ADSL plan. It has been extremely average at best, with their over subscription and weird international web issues present throughout.

We were with Vodafone originally and found that service great, just costly at the time. So it is with amusement that when we leave Telstraclear, it's actually now Vodafone. The latest Truenet results were typically poor from Telstraclear ADSL, but also Vodafone was poor also, so we're not risking going to them, just in case we technically get Telstraclear again!

We've signed with Telecom now, and so far the communication has been great. Recently signed both sets of parents/inlaws to Telecom and everyone happy thus far.

Normally if on telstraclear you would have an IP address of xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.telstraclear.net

Noticed today its not the case

But Voda allow you to use your employers mobile number if you want.
When you sign up, you add the mobile number, they send it a txt, you put the validation code in to the site
discount applied.

How did you establish that? I do a WHOIS on my IP and get 203-97-yyy-xxx.cable.telstraclear.net as expected. Try entering your IP address here.

That was just using the nslookup command in win 7 which will be querying the TCL dns servers

Good to know, thanks. There are plenty of Vodafone mobiles at work (I don't have/want one), the 'owners' of which probably not with Vodafone for their BB.

Well the call centre (0508 888 800) now brand themselves as Vodafone, website hasn't changed yet
