To watch Sky Mobile TV, all you need is a Vodafone 3G mobile and you'll be able to subscribe.

i believe this should be:

To watch Sky Mobile TV, all you need is a Vodafone Live! 3G mobile and you'll be able to subscribe.

as Vodafone Live services are only guaranteed to work on Vodafone Live branded handsets. In this case a JasJam is not VLive branded, where as a Nokia 6234 is. This would clear up this situation, I think.

I wouldn't say that Vodafone's customer service is non existent and that they are all 'monkeys'. If you have a concern with service you have received then you can contact me and I will take it further for you, obviously laughing and hanging up on representatives will not get your situation sorted out any faster.

Yup, that's the point -- it *should* be that, but it's not, and as a result, thatguy1 spent $1200 on the wrong phone.

I am sure that thatguy1 didn't spend $1200 on a phone just to watch SkyTv. It is an extra service that he was lead to believe would work on his phone but isn't at the moment.

sbiddle:Vodafone's website is absolutely appalling and an absolute disgrace to the company however we all know that so just put up with it.
Can't say I navigate the site that often, but just so that I know what to look for, what is so appalling about the site?

Primarily it's a case of having outdated or inaccurate information.

I just spent about 5 mins looking around the site and found:

* References to promotions that finished in 2005

* Inaccurate pricing information

* Coverage maps are very old

* Numerous references to mobile TV costing $2.99 per week for individual channels or 99c for 15 mins

* Numerous reference to promos such as free text weekends

* Vodafone music store icons/avatars showing anywhere from 300000+ to 400000+ music tracks to 500000+ music tracks depending on what page you look at.

*References to non existant mobile tv channels (TV3 highlights, C4 mobile)

IMHO there are no possible excuses for having info like this on your website.

Jesus, that's a lot of mistakes and yeah, no excuse for an enterprise with a turnover in the hundreds of millions! Seems to be a size coverage thing though, I mean there are websites like ASUS, Thai Airlines and their websites frankly are a mess- show lots and tell nothing, as well as inconsistent/ inaccurate/outdated information... suppose ya had better warm up the old blog machine then! :D

Among others! It seems the websites of big corporations are very unusable, Glitzy, Ugly and use all sorts of strange scripts.

Interesting brochure there titled "5088 VF Cell Sites".. I wonder which year that is from :p
page3: "In some instances, one cell site can service three calls"

Anyway back on topic, If you have a look at Vodafone UK's new website it is a lot better than the previous one. Hopefully VFNZ will follow suit

I think they meant to say something like "A cell phone may communicate with several different cell sites during a single call." which they mention above that.
