Personally I think what a neighbor does with their property is their business, if they want to put up a windsock on a pole thats 15 meters high, that's fine, though if it's going to kill me then I may have something to say about it. Because cell towers have not yet proven to kill us, though some poeple may say it does cause radiation I'd be fine with it.

I get bad signal for both vodafone and telecom at home, being on naked DSL I dont use a home phone so I count on my cellphone, so I'd welcome a new cell tower in my area.

If perhaps I had full signal from a cellphone tower, I'd still welcome another, overlapping signals is always a good thing incase one tower goes down, plus it adds capacity for emergencies or data. If too many people were connected to the same site as me, there is the chance my data would be slow or my cellphone calls wouldn't terminate. Another good reason to have many towers is for 111 calls. If you have more towers, you have more chance of making the call and it actually getting through.

Lucky we have a process such as resource concent, at least the public gets a vote on the matter, but personally if a tower went up down the road from me, I'd welcome the idea, we live in a world full of technology and I'd rather have access than not have access.

I guess you could use the example, my neighbor has a corvette which he starts up every weekend and either goes for a drive or runs it for a while, the rich petrol fumes smell great but also sometimes flood my house, plus it's noisy... Well it's their choice, they have it on their property and what they do in their bubble doesn't concern me... I run the motor of my boat after a good relaxing day fishing and leave it running for about 5-10 mins making a decent noise, they don't complain. Silly examples but worth noting.
