chiefie: Hmmm... interesting to see that Vodafone changed the price of the device. Few days ago, during the pre-order it was $149 for device for 64GB iPhone 6+ on Red+ ($129 plan).

Today, it is $300 for the device, and $129 Red+ plan for 64GB iPhone 6+.

Yeah... Personal opinion "rip off"....

You know we have absolutely no margin on the phones right?

So you make it up on your crazy plan prices right?

Nobody is forcing you to go on a plan.

Nothing personal...

it's just last week the price was $149 with red $129 plan...I was going to sign up...

however now that it's $300 since yesterday when I checked, it put me off quite a bit...

that's why from a consumer's point of view, i ordered mine on the apple website outright 5-7 days delivery...

and I will renew my plan separately with vodafone OR for the first time in 6 years, I can go on prepay again, so thanks to Vodafone for allowing me to back to to Prepay ! :)

I would like to go on the plan, but seeing that the device price for "yesterday" and today has quite a degree of difference. Hmm... doesn't spark much desire...

Total sentimental I get too... I have been Vodafone customers since the day they took over Bellsouth. Anyhow, I have not thought of changing faction but it sure leave a sour taste in mouth when pre-orders were "out of stock" up until yesterday. And I would prefer to feel the device and make informed decision before putting down pre-order, more so for such case.

I may just wait out until our current Smart Data $80 plans term finishes then my partner and I will decided - as we both want iPhone 6+ and with plan.

Vodafone Riccarton gave false information to me about the new iPhone 6 Plus plan and that resulted in my partner and I waited for 8 hours but went home with nothing. Ridiculous!
One of the sales in the shop closed by Noel Leeming told us that "the new iPhone 6 plus will be available on any plan on the current brochure!" After waited in line for 8 hours, the shop told us it will only be available in the $99/ month - 24months Red plan!!! The manager's response was "I can't help but your phone will be available to you if you sign up the $99 plan...." Bad service. Bad staff training!
Let me do the math for you Vodafone.
I'm currently using prepay 19 now and all i need is 1 iphone 6+ 64G space grey.

Plans from Vodafone:
449+99*24=2825
300+129*24=3396
Fixed term contract. What a greedy company.

But i think i gotta say thanks to you Vodafone. You let me understand that i have better choice.
Now i'm having my new iPhone 6+ from Apple with the cost $1299+$19/month.

Basically every time a new IPhone is released, it is only ever available for the first week or two on the premium plans from the Telco's, not sure what the surprise is. They will probably be avalable for full purchase from at about the same time Apple.com start delivery on current orders. Generally is a 7-14 wait time at the moment.
