Just an update on our fibre sitcho! Two Chorus guys came to the house last week, reaffirmed what I said in the original post that there was no cable for fibre on the poles and that we hadn't had it here. They're here today installing a cable 🤷🏻♀️ I have no idea what's going on but looking forward to having fibre.
Poles were never mentioned in your OP.
Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I said that the technicians said there was no evidence of fibre ever being installed.
Bung: Do you have aerial drops or buried cable? Since the previous tenant in your property did have fibre perhaps it got switched over to the adjoining unit. If the previous owner managed to remove ALL trace of that I'd be very impressed.
I'm afraid I don't have a lot of confidence some contractors could find their way out of a paper bag. The crew that turned up to my neighbour's were going to put the ETP and ONT on the wall of a front bedroom ignoring that it was a new build with conduit already in place and internal fibre to a distribution box in the garage.
No idea but I assume that ISP/Chorus/contractors are talking to each other. If they aren't then...
Update: the technician has installed fibre into our house but has said there was a connection issue in the backend because my neighbour('s landlord) had used my address to install their fibre - which is what I thought from the beginning.
So not sure where the other stuff about having fibre from 2018 is from - is it possible that Wheelbarrow spoke to the previous tenant of my neighbour's house? Or a tenant who had wireless and doesn't know the difference.
Anyway, yay.

I sent you an aerial photo with your dwelling circled, and you confirmed it was your dwelling. I then sent the exact same photo to the previous occupant and he confirmed it was the same dwelling he previously lived in. The only reason I had his contact details is because I lifted those details from his original fibre installation order. He paid his RSP (and his RSP paid Chorus) for fibre at that address for 4 years, so I can't see how that can be a mistake.
It's all water under the bridge now anyway. I'm glad you are finally connected 😃
The views expressed by me are not necessarily those of my employer Chorus NZ Ltd

For sure, thank you and Max for your help and patience and getting this moved along.
