@imadog - ah yep, in both threads actually :) but all good.. I am all for sharing honest details that keeps the customer informed

in conclusion it is a bad idea to go for the $100 thing if you are factoring it into a buy/cancel deal

If anyone can get some info as to whether the $100 is a voucher that can be used in store it would be greatly appreciated! Anyone? :)

Is this offer still going you guys think?

I click on the link, and that works fine, but it doesn't mention the $100 anywhere later, e.g. in the cart.

Someone who has purchased this way, does it actually mention the $100 later on?

I completed the purchase at 12.03. Pretty sure I was one of the first but it did not mention anything about the $100 for me.

The wording in the offer is interesting. "Limited to the first 300 pre registered customers".

To me this means the first 300 that signed up for the email offer. Offer ends 17 July so perhaps then they will just rank the first pre registered people that actually bought the phone and apply the credit to them.

I completed mine at 12.07am. I assumed at the time that the e-mail link would stop working when the 300 customer quota is reached. The link is still working so there are two possibilities

(1) The quota hasn't been reached
(2) My assumption was wrong and we still don't know who's getting the $100 credit

This is pretty frustrating, and combined with the fact that no one has yet received a order confirmation, it might have been better just getting one from a vodafone/magnum mac store.

Just clicked on the link again. Looks like you were right bensila.

Sorry, we could not find an active voucher with those details. The voucher details are either incorrect, the voucher has already been used, or has now expired.

iPhone 3GS pre-registration offer.

Thanks for your interest in this pre-registration offer.

This offer was strictly limited to first 100 pre-registered customers.

Sorry but we've already received 100 orders so this offer is no longer available.

wtf. they have really butchered this promo. Now when I click on the link it says congrats, you are one of the first and have got the $100 offer. This was not there last night.

Congratulations - you are one of the first 300 customers to access this offer. If you place your order now you will be eligible to receive a $100 account credit if your order is approved.

Just Pick which iPhone 3GS and iPhone plan is right for you below.

Offer strictly limited to first 300 pre-registered customers. Terms and conditions apply

You may have clicked on two different links. The first one you clicked was for the Dock offer when you buy outright (100 customers). The one you just clicked now was for the $100 credit when you sign a contract (300 customers). The former already expired while the latter is still active.

I guess not so many people buy one on contract from the online store.

The T&Cs for this offer are relatively specific: http://vodafonenz.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/vodafonenz.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp_pop.php?p_faqid=8022

However, still doesn't explain the change in state you saw imadog between your last two posts...

@bensila yeah you are right. I think I clicked on the wrong link.

Did you remember seeing any reference to the $100 offer last night when you clicked on the link. I dont but then again it was late and I didnt read everything on the page.

Just got a call from the online store. Apparently they don't allow me to resign because I'm 1 day away from being eligible to.. so I cancelled the order. Think I'll probably order one from the Apple Store then sign up with Telecom instead. It's really hard to spend $1000 these days..

@imadog yes the offer was there last night. Looking at the text again, if you saw this, they must give you the $100 credit, otherwise it will be misleading and therefore in breach of Fair Trading Act.

Congratulations - you are one of the first 300 customers to access this offer. If you place your order now you will be eligible to receive a $100 account credit if your order is approved.
