Anybody have any idea what this might be for?  I registered a while back and have heard hide nor hair from VF.

I assume it's not for the extra data+txts.

I was wondering the same...

I originally just thought it was an early heads-up on the plans.

Me to but the fact that you can still register on the updated iPhone page kinda negates that theory :)

Ha I'm sure we'll all get an email on Friday saying the iPhone 3GS has been released and what the new plans are, and it'll be worded/presented like it's all hot off the press. I can't recall any pre-registration form that actually emailed me something I didn't already know. XT's was similar - always being emailed stuff that was already out in the open.

The Magic pre-registration offered you $100 off the normal price for the first 100 purchasers (or something like that - not sure of the number of purchasers).

I thought this wasn't too bad for the cost of filling in a form...

Actually that is pretty good. To stop being a pessimist I suppose there is still a couple days to go so plenty of time to get value out of pre-registering.

Did only the first 300 or 100 or whatever get the e-mail? I signed up right as their twitter posted the link to it. Could I not have been in the first 300? O.o

"If you are new to our monthly plans (or if you are eligible for a re-sign on your existing plan"

Please tell me where it says "only existing VF customers?"
