Yes I read through those earlier, my SIP.conf and SIP_additional.conf look identical to those, too. *shakes head*

Try starting asterisk with maximum verbosity in console mode with "asterisk -vvvvvc".  What is the output of "sip show registry" and "sip show peers"?  When you dial with a phone connected to asterisk, what messages appear on the console?

Changed my number back to the one I *should* use (not the new one sent out???) and is all ok now. *Very confused*

Entire thing was down to having the wrong number listed in the Peer and registration details - I'm not quite sure what happened, but i was divvied up a new number temporarily.

No problem the mistake was ours though not you, but this is the reason the reason for the soft launch so we can pick up these mistakes and correct them hopefully, we made a mistake during provsioning , incorrectly thinking you were a new install not a change of device, hence the reason for the 2 numbers.

I would just like to add to this. After my initial problems, I have had nothing but joy since.

Couple of small config problems on my end but call clarity is a lot better than on my Pap2t.
My external analog devices, fax etc, all work great and the flexibility Asterisk offers has opened new options for me.

Thanks again.

Steve.
