Without the sync rates, it's impossible to say for certain, but based on the other information, somewhere around 0%.

Impossible to answer.

Right now the only thing you could provide anybody on here that's of any use is ADSL sync stats.

If you are on an ADSL1 BUBA connection the maximum speed you've able to get (and would have only ever get this historically as well) is around 6.5Mbps so wiring is unlikely to change things.

Once again however with the very limited information you're able to provide it's very hard to offer any real advice.

I am absolutely no expert but couldn't all this be tested at no cost by making a temporary modem connection at the point where the line comes into the house and disconnecting all the interior wiring? This should improve the connection speed as much as it can be improved and settle once and for all if a master filter might make any useful difference.

Yes. This is called an isolation test, and is one of the things referred to in PeterReader's post whenever xDSL speed issues crop up. You do need a reasonable technical knowledge to accomplish this though.

It is worth a go then, the new modem appears to have helped a little bit (though there seems to be some discussion around it not making any difference) and there is VF rural broadband

This claims speed increased of up to 10x which I take with a huge grain of salt.

way up unlimited data and slower speed, vs higher speed and limited data, for about the same price

As has been stated many times, the people in this forum do not have direct access to all the details needed to make an informed diagnoses. They are making their best assumption based on the little info from you and their years of experience in this type of issue.
I have personally had a master filter installed by coffeebaron and my speeds have indeed gone from 5 to 13Mbps, but I am on ADSL2+ and all aspects of my wiring and isp and installation are different from yours. One size does not fit all so it's up to you how much you want to invest in chasing this

There are plenty of people seeing up to 60-80Mbps down and 20-30Mbps up on the RBI wireless network on 4G sites.

From the information given in this thread there is nothing you can do to improve your speed other than to move to Rural RBI Wireless (http://ultimatebroadband.co.nz would be the guys to check out here). I have done the checks for your location and have confirmed this. Your connection is working as designed and you're not going to be getting any extra speed from it anytime soon.

It just happens that your modem is one of a small minority that don't provide the detailed information needed to better understand your line.

If this is a fairly new replacement, you don't have your previous one around that you could use to get this info do you?

I wish. The best I get is 30 down and 20 up on Speedtest, and that is not real world.
