oxnsox: Tis a sad world when where you live is dictated by mobile coverage......
Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.
OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!
PaulBrislen: I live in Three Kings, Auckland. It's pretty central but even here the local council (don't think it's Ak City Council but some lesser body) doesn't like towers so yes, I have no coverage.
If I'd checked and seen that I wouldn't have bought this house. As it is I now have coverage and the neighbours come and stand in my back garden to get signal. Not exactly ideal.
We even have a park at the bottom of the street that would suit a nice tower but of course the council has been convinced that nobody wants such things in their neighbourhood so...
Must take a photo of our rubbish bin cellsite for you all.

Where you live at the moment is probably dictated by power coverage, fresh water coverage, drainage coverage etc. It's just another thing that people consider these days.

dolsen: Maybe one of these would stick out less than a palm tree in sunny Wainuiomata.

Blindspot: The tree site in Manukau is not bad.
I personally don't see cellsites as being all that ugly, any more so then street lights, roads, drains, footpaths or any other thing that makes life easier.
ZollyMonsta: The thing is.. if they moved it one street over, half a block down then it would be in a semi-rural setting but still be able to provide the coverage they want.. and it wouldn't annoy half as many people.

according to my source, the church recently got its steeple replaced - and a bunch of Vodafone hardware was supposedly put inside.
