r2b2:... when it comes to changes like this, I'm assuming W87A, W87B, W87C, etc. all wrap up into the main node that is being upgraded to - i.e. they are more just sub-distribution node type things?

I'm not a network engineer and could well be wrong but from what I've picked up from emails etc I understand they've been busy upgrading the core network then complete testing and are now cutting over nodes individually. I assume it could easily vary in individual areas depending on the local requirements.

I don't think so, not at this stage at least. Have sent you a PM with more detail about your connection.

Thanks. Got it. Looks like it's us today. I've sent a note to my significant other explaining how to power cycle the modem ( she just texted back asking what power cycle means :)

All good. :) It should come back up absolutely fine with no intervention. In some isolated cases you might need to turn it off and on, and that will almost definitely fix it. :)

There's always a very tiny chance an unrelated fault might happen at the same time - so if there is an extended outage and power cycling doesn't help please do get in touch with the tech support team.

I would've loved one of these a while ago. Almost like one of the drift trikes that are popular now! :)

Edit - removed image, was an '80s smurf "power cycle" tricycle (also available in ET model). Picture didn't like hot linking, probably not worth uploading, oh well. :)

Over the past week video streaming at anytime of the day is become useless. I have been one of the lucky few unaffected by congestion issues and my speeds have stayed consistent. But real world performance is getting unusable. Netflix streams at 240 resolution and still needs to buffer. Will these "upgrades" also effect the few that had no issue? Will the hardware in my area be upgraded if it's not needed? I'm just worried how performance has turned to crap when during the upgrades when it was previously fine. I'm in Woodridge, Wellington.

Does anyone know if the Burma node covers all of Johnsonville, or just part?
