AFAIK VF Live identifies phones by CID number, so depending on who flashed your phone and a few other things it might display the z800 firmware but identify itself as a v800 or if its got the z800 cid number then you might get the portal for unsupported handsets

Whenever I try to go to Vodafone Live now, I get "Loading" for quite some time, then "No previous content. Stay in browser?".

- I'm using a Z1010
- I've got a connection to the 3G network (and can do video calls)
- I was able to connect to VFLive yesterday (before I had the 3G connection)

I'm hoping this is because they are blocking access until tomorrow?

Not sure about that, I presume if your settings worked yesterday then there shouldnt be a problem.

If you are concerned about settings the wireless portal http://wireless.vodafone.co.nz/ allows settings for WAP for SE z1010, v600i, v800 and nokia 6680. So if you have a settings issue then it shouldnt be a problem with settings.

VF is blocking VF Live at the moment due to changes. Soon it will be up and running again.

With my Z1010. Found vodafone live service on and off works fine now. But have had some issues with not been able to connect. The streaming services are not all working on the site. Got some south park/loony toon ones to work. When i first tried to get streaming the phone wanted a new data account/

And tomorrow a new era will begin for all of you in mobile telecommunication. :)

NZ will be amongst those few countries in the world where you can enjoy real time video telephony (not just videos message sending!), Mobile TV, downloadable videos (South Park rulez) and tons of music!

Dealers now have copies of 3G coverage maps, I will try and acquire one from a friend on the way home but if there is anybody who's at work and bored maybe you could try and get hold of one and scan it for us all! :-)

The era has already begun - Voda are just fashionably late to the party...

Real time video calls? mmmm cool, esp on the PC, but with a phone i am not so sure about holding the phone in the normal position (like when texting), and the other party seeing up my nose, or holding the phone at face level and looking like i dont know what im doing with my phone :-)

Not bagging the service totally though, i am really keen to try it.

Nice one john, you just have to get used to people looking at you funny!

A guy at a telecom shop once said to me nobody needs text messaging, and it will never catch on at all(That was around 1998).Guess he is eating his brick phone now.

Well now we have video call and i think its great! Roll on 3g

Andrewcnz - could you post what settings you're using on your Z1010?

eg are you using settings from wireless.vodafone.co.nz?

I tried getting fresh settings (for WAP, PXT and GPRS - went for the V800 settings since there aren't any Z1010 settings) but can't seem to get access to VFLive.

I'm feeling like I need a Looney Tunes or Southpark fix 8-).
