beenz: So just went on the Chorus Web site and Gigatown and fibre will be available from July 2017.

Bit of a time to wait but would putting in a master filter in preparation make any difference.
I am presuming not but will ask anyway.

i have no idea where you are looking but from what i can see there are no upgrades for West Eyreton, North canterbury

Strange when I put in my address it showed fibre update for July 2017

Christchurch isn't even a Chorus UFB area so the Chorus maps will never show UFB.

beenz: The population is increasing out quite rapidly so would have thought an upgrade would be on the cards.

And that's probably why lots of upgrades have occurred around you including many areas that now have VDSL2. You however are not one of those areas.

but its not Christchurch, its Canterbury and looking at enables site its outside their coverage area too
