And it's not just showing the other person your own ugly mugg - what about showing them where you are, what you can see. What about calling a 3G modem and having the video stream captured?

But much of this must already be uderway overseas given the headstart they've had with 3G.

Video Calling will be the same price as voice calling - nice touch - and is also free until the end of October.

Andrew you're right. Voda live! is up and running again.
I've just checked TV3 Mobile TV and it works fine.

About the coverage: you gonna have 3G in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown, Hamilton, Taupo, Whangarei, etc.

Hey 3G you only need 3 data accounts GPRS (internet) access point www.vodafone.net.nz and WAP and PXT and it works mint. You can send the V800 settings to your handset but need to set up the internet one which takes less than 1 minute and the streaming settings are easy as Data Acc to use is the WAP gateway and proxy off.

And it's must be your settings why it's not working for you. What player Z1010 has? Real? Then you have to set up the access point int the player settings as well and then it will work.

chris021: Coverage list: etc...

That's good. They couldn't launch 3G and get straight back into a coverage battle with Telecom. This list will silence most critics.

If I was Telecom I'd go with nationwide EVDO, and very cheap roaming to Aus. But even then the Vodafone blitz is coming...

I take it you mean 35-40 KBytes? I.e. 280-320Kbits per second.
