Hifarion: Looks like Testra will get the last laugh - the devil is in the detail.

The $75 deal is only available to new clients, and isn't available to those serviced by their cable network.

So, just because i CAN have the T Box they will charge me more for my phone and internet than the guy that can't have the T Box - end result, the cost to jump to sky isn't practical.

Also, why do companies like these offer better deals to new clients than their existing loyal client base.

It's all about sweetening the deal to convince you to leave. We looked at it, but despite being told that numbers were portable, it turned out that at least one digit in our number would have to change. And that is a pain in the ...

Once your stuck with a company, you'll put up with all sorts of crap because moving is an effort. It's easy to change power companies, and even banks are easy to switch now. But Telco's, that's another matter, particularly if people can't get in touch because the number has changed.

Nope. Only new ones. You will have to wait for the competition to offer a much better deal before you can renegotiate your contract. ;)

Last night I had blank screen and part recorded programme that needed a reboot. This is the first time that the T-Box has needed to be rebooted for twenty days (record).

I’m also getting slight pixelation on some recorded programmes but not on unrecorded programmes (watching TV normally).

Still having problems with series recording.

I am finding that Pixellation is getting worse and would be interested if anyone else agrees?. I have just watched a programme "Judge Judy" on Vibe and it was particularly bad. It may be that I have a TV or T/Box problem.? It has become really annoying and I want to get it sorted. Any suggestions as to what action I could take please.?

Seems to me that the most likely explanation is poor signal quality on your cable. I suggest you call TelstraClear and ask them to test your cable.

For the amazing but true file (but not really news over at the Sky TV forum) ... we had our cabling from box to jacks replaced 5 weeks ago, and the T-Box is still going strong - it hasn't crashed or needed restarting since then. I'm not saying it won't, but 5 weeks is relatively solid.

OK, so an update from me! Over the past week and a half we have had to reboot the box 4 times. 2 times was because of box freezing and not responding. The other 2 times we were losing our series links! Hence we missed our recorded shows.

Usually we have to reboot once a week because of the box freezing, which we are use to. But this is getting a little bit out of control now.

Right now, our box has a red light, TV is playing fine and the box isn't set to record anything.

How many times should a device require rebooting? My computer lasts a good few weeks without freezing...

Any news on the next update?

This T-Box service is supposed to be Telstra-Clear premium tv service. Hum bug.

Had to reboot every day since it was installed, picture freeze, voice sync gone. No RF out. Reboot takes minutes, heck even my old XP box is faster !

The service is not fit for purpose, and if it doesn't get fixed after the Truckroll on Tuesday, Telstraclear should be expecting to get it back with all charges reversed.

My old dvr hooked up to the old GE digital decoder and the even older analogue decoder before that, worked every time, and as a bonus, gave me a master clock, that was always right.

Several of us have been experiencing the stuttering, and I am hoping that this is one of the issues the next update will address. I think it happens no matter whether I am watching or recording. Try to just ignore it when it happens now............seems to be part of the deal at the mo.
