Bought the addon 30min ago (on 100 plan) driving thru AKL airport and now at remuera, no LTE sign :(

I am failing to see the logic in that? I would have thought it was a given..

It is certainly an interesting approach, I don't recall any sort of extra fee when 3G was introduced and that was a very large increase in data speeds.

Not available in wellington until later in the year and only available on plan.

I guess you pay for the privilege? Given they just spent money upgrading to DC, the LTE bill has to be paid somehow.

But they haven't even deployed much at all, parts of auckland only. Rather pointless anyone else in the country opting in for that extra charge yet.

So don't then. It isn't that hard.

I wants the DC S3, but with the S4 announcement imminent I am pretty sure I should wait, though the likely 5" screen is very offputting!

gmanp: Well, I'm on a plan with 4G, in a 4G area, with a 4G device and I've got no 4G.

Called customer service and they say it should be working for me, maybe I should reboot my phone and/or wait a day. So... points to Vodafone for the stealth launch, points off for it not working as announced!

No, unless your cap is only 50 megabytes?

The speedtest shows MEGABITS per second. This is about 8.8 MEGABYTES per second. Please get your calculator and redo it.

JohnR I was referring to this and your earlier post referencing APN's.

That was part my fault and I have edited my post

So just confirming the default iphone APN will work fine and other devices like the 4G Samsung S3 i9305 need to use vodafone

Here's a handy way of getting your heads around speeds:

1 Megabyte is 8 Megabits. So One megabit per second = 0.125 megabyte per second.
