slipmat: What sort of turn around are existing Vodafone ADSL customers seeing on VDSL upgrades?
I rang the contact centre last Friday (24th Jan) to request the upgrade, and have not received the router or contact from Chorus yet.

I rang the contact centre last Friday (24th Jan) to request the upgrade, and have not received the router or contact from Chorus yet.
I signed up on the first day and out of curiosity asked the turnaround length of time. Was advised approx 7 working days. After day 5 I recieved the SMS to say they would be visiting the next day to install.
Overall am more than happy with the service and the speed. Hey, It isn't UFB but its still fast to what it was! I also recieved SMS from the chorus technician on the day of install advising when he would be around.

Ok...baring in mind I connect via Wifi. friend connected via ethernet last night and confirmed speed results were around the same. I'm still stoked!

hairy1: Has anyone had any joy getting the HG659 going with ADSL? I am scheduled for install on Wednesday but would like to get the new router in before that.
It appears to sync on ADSL but doesn't connect. The internet connection sits on VDSL with no option of changing it....

Vodafone cocked up my VDSL install on Friday by only requesting Telecom/Chorus switch my ISP, so I am still on ADSL (what a waste of a day - are they coming, not coming, why haven't I heard anything, why has there been a long delay after Telecom cut me off, hanging on the phone etc).
On Saturday I tried to get the HG659 going on ADSL but I couldn't get an internet green light. I rang Vodafone and they said that the HG659 was all set up for VDSL. I was hoping to hear from Vodafone by lunchtime today (Mon) with a new install date, but no luck as yet.
