Cue protests and scatterings of "dead birds" around anything that looks like a new cell tower or transmitter...
That's not a bug, it's a feature. Bird deterrent, drone interfere-eror and fast internet? Sounds perfect for an airport. And the same service can be sold three times!

I just think it's highly coincidental that on the day they announce 5G at the airport that flights get cancelled due to bad weather.
sbiddle:Now THAT will end up in the Herald!

Don't know why they are throwing in a $10 premium charge after June to just use your data cap faster
freitasm: I am at Vodafone Lambton Quay store and the 5G service is now live in areas of Wellington Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.
More info release.
@mdf: Walked past there this morning and wondered why a Vodafone store needed bouncers out the front. That explains it.

I think 5G will cause the measles or mumps outbreak
I'm hoping 5G will make me more...um...virile.
And maybe a bit leaner...whilst still having the ability to ingest as many carbs as I want.

Hopefully it won't take them too long to launch a fixed wireless offering. To me it seems like the only really compelling use case for 5G at this stage.
