ZollyMonsta:
The T/Box is on 16:9. It is a Sony Bravia KCV-32V200A. Hope that helps.

Hi Fog,

I couldnt find that model, but found KLV-32V200A.

Try the 'Normal' setting via the Aspect Ratio button on your TV remote.

Cheers.
That is the correct model. My error. "Normal"  mode makes no difference to the Banner.
The "Full" mode is best for picture viewing.  None of the modes, WideZoom/Normal/Full/Zoom made any difference to the readability of the Banner.

Hi Fog

I cant load up the sony site at the moment to look again at the moment.  Are you connected via HDMI or AV?   If HDMI is the TV actually set to the HDMI input?  Perhaps the tech has hooked up the AV cables and it's switched to that input?
I presume HDMI but I don't know what the technician did.

The frustrations of dealing with a system that failed to record the FA Cup final has forced a friend to start talking to Sky about getting MySky installed in his home. He already has Internet and Phone, but is so frustrated with the T-box that he's getting rid of it and will willingly suffer the extra cost for something that works.
I wonder how many other people have done, or are thinking of doing the same?

The problem with MySky is not so much hardware related but content relatedTongue Out

No, I never had problems in the 4 years I had it and the added bonus is that it's a faster, more polished product (what is it with all those external modems on the TBox....yuk) and you can use the iPad/Android app which is very useful if you've forgotten to record something or are out and about.

I had to reboot our MySky the otherday, for some odd reason it would not respond to inputs (remote or front panel), having been following this thread I had noted the last time it was rebooted and popped it on a piece of paper in the TV cabinet, seems it was just over 6 months previous and only because I was moving things about.

Our MySky gets hammered by teens and an unforgiving wife, its never to my knowledge failed to record and there are currently around 5 series links tagged, its very easy to book recordings from work here (and now my droid), it just works as advertised.

Lately, we've had to manually record our programs on Star Plus Hindi channel as series linking hasn't worked for the past week. So we taped 4am, 4:30am and 5am shows. The 4:30am show recorded the BBC channel!

Anyone else experiencing wrong channel recordings?

Yes, this has happened several times to me before, and others on this forum, and is a know problem on the TBOX which has not yet been fixed by TelstraClear.

Well, it finally seems my T box has settled down, no issues for about a month and to top it off I have just realized that it is now running Dolby digital via hdmi. Lets hope it stays stable.

I wish I could say our T-Box has had no issues for a month but in the last month it has frozen a couple of times and recorded the wrong channel and just tonight we had a failed recording due to a supposed scheduling conflict. We have our padding buffer set to 0 and had only set it to record 2 channels at the same time so no scheduling conflict existed. This is the second time it has done this. Have lodged a complaint with Telstra - probably a waste of my time!

I'm not sure if I am imagining it, but is anyone else finding that recorded programs have a lower volume than live TV?

The volume seems all over the place to me - not just with the recorded programmes.  We have the volume on the T-Box set to 100% and adjust the volume using our home theatre.

Over the past two weeks I’ve had failed recordings – Pixilation – Part recordings and a blank screen  that required a reboot.

TelstraClear T-Box is still unfit for the purpose.

Two reboots in the space of less than 10 minutes tonight. Just trying to watching a recording while recording a show for my husband. My husband will now have to watch that On Demand and use our broadband. It annoys me that we have to pay for a T-Box that is so unreliable and then have to use our broadband to watch shows On Demand - we're being ripped off twice!  Edited to add that I noticed after both reboots the volume was considerably louder than it had been before it froze - never noticed that before.
