PottsyNZ:

I saw this mentioned earlier but wasn't sure of the resolution, has anyone had an issue with NZ based stations on Iheartradio? Gen 1 box...

Yes, there is an issue with the local radio station streams.   We have been working with the local licencee to resolve and, while the performance of iHeartRadio has improved, we still don't have a full fix for the local radio station quality.  I'll get an update.

The post about the gen1 update has disappeared? as well as the seperate gen1 thread that was made yesterday.

I see the update didn't happen last night as promised - dang was looking forward to watching Picard on Prime Video.

I asked this earlier in the thread but didn't get a response so asking again.

Is there any way to force this box to output in SDR and match content so it only switches to HDR when HDR content is playing? Similar to the ATV 4K box?

@Senecio when is the problem actually occurring? Is it when watching a live channel, a recorded program, a Sky or a Freeview channel, a Sky or a Freeview program recording, or only in some Apps? Also what are you noticing that is obtrusive please? What hardware have you got the TV connected to and are you using only HDR supported HDMI cables in the path to the television? What TV and model have you got, and what model Video/Audio receiver are you using if any?

Maybe the new topic was deleted because there is an existing topic. That seems more likely if the new topic content continued any of the discussions in there:

Hi Ivan,

It appears everywhere. As soon as I turn on the box my TV thinks it is receiving an HDR signal. Doesn't matter whether I'm sitting on the home screen, watching FTA live or recorded, or watching YouTube or any other Apps. The issue is that the box is taking content that isn't designed to be displayed in HDR and trying to mimic an HDR signal. As a result sometimes the colours can appear over saturated. Its consistent with the default setting on an ATV 4k but at least with an ATV this can be disabled and set to match content. My current TV (2019 Panasonic OLED) does a better of job of trying to reproduce the colours accurately but my last TV (2015 Sony LCD) was poor.

In terms of hardware, nothing else involved. VTV Gen 2 box connected directly to the TV with full HDR compliant HDMI cable.

Got an email from Vodafone about the software update to my Gen1 box... switched it on and then got the update.

Everything seems to be working OK

Well done @samson & company

This morning lots of channels are showing the message "Your Vodafone TV cannot play this content as the connection was lost". Cycling the power does not help.

The problem is back again, where is the Status page you refer to @freitasm and how do we report the issue to them.

Back up again. Apologies again if this has affected your viewing.

Note, this is not related to the recent firmware updates.  We are still assessing root cause.
