I now have this issue also. I should be on FS/FS, but seem to be limited to 256/128.
I have sent you my details as I don’t need the speed back till tomorrow.

Andrew

Progress is being made on this and Vendors are moving forward on it, no further info or timings at this stage i'm afraid.

You probably dont need to restart your modem, if its a policy map problem on their lns then this should go away after you tear down the ppp link. Upon reconnect the policy will be reapplied to the new virtual interface.

If your that way inclined you could setup a script to tear down and re-establish your ppp connection every 4-6 hours or schedule something to this effect on your router if it supports this

Update:

Our vendors have found what they think may be a cause of the problems and are presently looking to test and supply details /fixes to us, this should take a few more days, hopefully we will have a fix in place shortly and then will be able to confirm if this resolves the problem.

We apprecaite the patience shown by you all and do again apolagise for the delay

UPDATE:

As of lunchtime today a change was made that we are hoping addresses this issue, however for it to be applied to your DSL profile your connection needs to be reset, this will require you to disconnect and reconnect your connection or a simple restart of your router will apply the fix.

If you restart your router and see the issue reoccur after that please advise ASAP.

Bugger - I'm experiencing speed reduction - running Linksys WAG325N lastest firmware, all has been good over last few weeks until this afternoon.

Xnet speedtest reports ~ 88ms ping (good), 631kbps downstream (bad), 81kbps upstream (bad)

Router reports:

Status:Up
Downstream Rate:5399 Kbps
Upstream Rate:945 Kbps

Help!

UPDATE:

Tried soft-booting ADSL modem from Linksys web interface, no good.

Powered off router and all back to normal, Xnet speedtest reporting:

79ms, 4519kbps down, 788kbps up.

I have had it only once ever.  I believe it is a lot less frequent, but it is also still with their overseas supplier or else Phil would have announced that a bug fix was applied.
