Any news on new data caps for TC cable?
Adsl customers are getting 400GB for $105/month. Im paying $95 for 150GB I would not mind paying the extra $10 for an extra 250GB.

Sorry, I know it's not ideal and can understand your frustration, but it's the truth. Under no circumstances will we ever be able to give upcoming plan information before it is publicly announced. Our jobs (literally) depend on keeping this kind of information under wraps.

Does that include being unable to say, for example, "Some changes to the plans are being reviewed, but we can't give details yet. A public announcement is expected to be made in early November" or something? ;)

Sorry John, but customers have been asking for months across multiple forums, and all we get is the same answer, "We aren't allowed to say"

Other ISP's are offering more and more to customers, yet you guys seem to be stuck in your same old ways, I understand the situation at present with the merger with TCL etc and I understand you guys can't say anything but its just frustrating especially for the likes of us stuck in contracts that we can't afford to break, just to save money.

I had enough, gave up on waiting and moved to Snap! VDSL. Sure I took a hit on speed (46Mbps) but cant say I really notice it all that much plus the 1.2TB data cap helps me sleep better at night :-)

Even with breaking contract which cost me $199 plus the new plan cost of $155 vs the old $95 I'll still be ahead within a few months compared to the actual cost of my Vodafone connection that was closer to $220 per month with all the overage.

Could be an option for those waiting for new plans.

Hmmm, starting to consider it and put the disconnection charge on the creditcard, even though the wife will moan.

Jeez people.

Plans will be upgraded when the plans are ready to be upgraded. If you think there's a better deal elsewhere, bugger off and take it, and good luck with the new provider.

There's far more to a good broadband experience than caps/speed/price/insert pet moan here. Engage brain before keyboard.

I'm not a cable customer, but am I to read this that you're more than happy for people to just take their money elsewhere instead of asking what might be coming up?
And you think the cable plans at the moment are perfectly good value for money and don't require any changes? Most of the feedback I see (on here, anyway) reads somewhat differently.

Sorry if I have that wrong...but I just heard this sort of thing over and over the whole time I worked at TCL...and that was a few years ago now...

Gary no longer works for Vodafone (was TelstraClear). You can safely say the above comments are personal comments.
