I'm a Sky with Vodafone customer with a MySky box, I'm allergic to ringing call centres due to wait times etc and would love to be able to remove a subscribed channel without having to be inconvenienced by ring them. The Vodafone website says I can use my remote control to remove them and refers you to sky's website to find out how. I can't find any instructions on this at Sky. I have put the question to both Sky and Vodafone, Sky referred me to VF as I am their customer, VF no reply to my question at all except an acknowledgement they have received it on 6th March

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/more-sky/

Anyone know if or how you can do this with the Sky Remote?

Isn't there an upgrade channel or something - might be able to do it there.

Is the telephone line in the SKY box so you can upgrade OTA?

You can only unsubscribe by calling up. The upgrade channel only allows adding channels, not removing them.

They said they received an acknowledgment that the email has been received, but nothing since...So that would show it was received.
I would presume that the OP has an automated  ticket number to refer to, that shows that they submitted a support request. Is there a support centre that they can log into, to view support tickets, incase the email reply went missing.  Maybe the OP should check their spam folder or email logs to see if there was an email reply, as the question may have already been answered for them, or if they log into their customer support panel, they can view the ticket and replies.

Here is what is what is written on the Vodafone NZ site

From your remote

" If you have a broadband and home phone pack (not Naked broadband) you can use your remote to add or remove SKY channels and packages. There are instructions on how to do this on SKY's website "

So lets pop over to the Sky NZ website and see what we can find

The Vodafone website is wrong John. It's add only via the remote (Upgrade Channel).

I'd love to be able to remove as well as add on the upgrade channel. It's just such a convenient method of customising your package with Sky.

Can't see this ever happening as Sky only wants you to upgrade not down grade..
