I have moved from ADSL to VDSL on VF here in Auckland CBD.

I can see on "recent changes" my account package now states VDSL, so my question is now what? Do VF send me out a VDSL capable router and away we go?

How long ago did you request the change?

My experience was with Spark and not Vodafone, but several days after booking VDSL online with no response, I phoned and found their online form had not worked.  It was about three working days later that a Chorus tech came round to install the dedicated cable and splitter.  The new modem arrived the day after the phone call.

Wednesday, I can see in the signup tracker some activity.... "detail check pending" now...

I have a feeling I wont be able to get it though... in an Apt block 8th floor... hmmm

a side note is everything seems to go 'faster' for a couple weeks then you'll hardly notice it anymore (until you go back to ADSL2)

UPDATE:

So the Sign Up Tracker keeps stating, complete (stage 3) then back to Pending Check.
Spoke to some guy in customer services, who said I need to be xferred to Technical Support? Technical Support on what? I don't have anything. I spent 10 mins on hold and hung up...

Anyway, I saw Chorus guy installing Fibre the other day, he said it would be ready to hook up to individual apartments by next week (I know xmas lay time)... do I dare phone customer services and ask about UFB install and could I be booked it for when ever its available...

cheers
