Hmm, I'm having trouble getting to lots of domestic sites from my HFC connection today (50/2 u/l, Wilton, Wellington). Since just before 5, I haven't been able to load many .govt.nz or even vodafone.co.nz or geekzone.co.nz - posting this via mobile hotspot.

Twitter, Facebook, all that overseas stuff loads just fine.

Traceroute to vodafone.co.nz dies after 3rd hop, traceroute to the functional sites is perfectly OK.

Anyone else? Or just me with the lucky broken route?

C:\Users\User>tracert www.vodafone.co.nz

Tracing route to www.vodafone.co.nz [203.109.185.25]

I have noticed something similar, I am on a spark connection but cannot connect to a Vodafone cable hosted server.

As soon as I turn on the VPN, no problems.

Same in Karori - mosdt sites will not load. VPN is fine.
Vodafone - kick your proxy.

Can you do a traceroute to stuff, and do another to geekzone, post results per mine above?

We have 3 of our 5 South Island offices down, no internet since 4:55pm.
Called Vodafone, they say it's a routing issue.

Hmmm. Routing. That's what I said to support ... support said "check your browser's security settings" :-S

Would be nice to have something on the status page! Well, for those who have an alternative connection to access it ...

Use a VPN and it's fine. This is typical behaviour of Voda's proxy.

I wouldn't say typical behaviour, this is the first time I have experienced this in a very long time

I think it's a routing issues. Son couldn't get to NZQA site but once I fired up Tunnelbear I could reach it. So Vodafone can access US sites but not many local ones. And GZ wasn't available until I used the VPN.

Their Twitter feed acknowledges an issue that is HIGH priority.

Interestingly I can't access Vodafone via the VPN but can access it via Spark Mobile.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

Same at home in Johnsonville. BNZ, Geekzone aren't working.

Can't wait for gigabit service - we won't load websites faster...

Same issues here too. Netflix isn't working for me and neither was Skype when I needed it earlier.

Not sure why they've been talking up their upcoming gigabit connection when most of us would be happy with a reliable 100Mb connection....
