Ok,

 

I need to talk to someone in the know and is very helpful in the Customer Retention department regarding contracts with Vodafone etc,

 

can anyone please advise who I should talk with who isn't in the Phillipines

There was a really helpful guy from Vodafone.. certain people ruined that for everyone.





Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

Since JohnR is no-longer with us I'd recommend doing this.

 

1) Read this: http://pages.bigpipe.co.nz/how-to-switch-isps-without-ruining-everything/

 

2) Use this link to sign up to BigPipe - it'll give you $20 extra: Clicky.

 

3) Buy their $99 router also - it is pretty good. When UFB is installed phone Vodafone and tell them you're leaving, send them flowers, do whatever because honestly you're better off with somebody else.

 

Whilst this sounds like relationship advice (and it kinda is) signing up with BigPipe will ensure that you're with a competent ISP, you've likely seen them around here, they're very helpful and a great all-around ISP.

Post on the Vodafone Facebook page that you'd like someone to contact you. In the past I've had reasonable experience getting assistance from the Online guys.

There used to be a guy who can works any magic in Vodafone. He has to go because some idiots ruined it.

The best you can do is to wait for anyone in Vodafone to reply here or ask for retention team when you call them. As far as I know - all Vodafone broadband supports are based in NZ.

Are you trying to get a better deal, or something else? If you want to use another provider just switch.

Might not be for Broadband - could be for Mobile.

 

Best to just keep asking the Call centre to transfer you to Retentions. If they don't have a retentions team - try Spark or 2Degrees.

 

If Broadband, change to Bigpipe as above :)

There might be reasons. Might not have Fibre available or might have Fibre available but have Cable + Vodafone TV and can't/don't want to afford the extra money it would cost to switch to Fibre + SkyTV direct.

They have direct contact details here. Matt Freeman for consumer, Ken Tunnicliffe for business and Kelly Moore for service (or lack thereof). Russell also takes calls, as do all of the execs, to their credit.

 

If they answer of course.... (!)

Just put in a request to close your account, they call you back pretty quick then. Still didnt help to keep me on as a customer tho... $180 for what I wanted from them, got it for $99 elsewhere - they did offer it to me for $120 but still, $20 is $20.... :)

Looked into BigPipe based on your recommendation and it turns out even though my house (in Kapiti) is UFB ready I can't get BigPipe as they only service Wellington, Auckland, Chch, and Dunedin :(
