That is just a standard Android VM icon (and on other phones also). You've been able to have that as your default voicemail icon on Vodafone for probably the last 6 or 7 years rather than getting a SMS message and I've had it for that long as it's so much better than a SMS.That's now stopped as Vodafone have a new voicemail platform and haven't re-enabled it yet.
Unfortunately the SMS messages cannot be relied upon eg I had someone leave a voicemail message on my phone last Friday but I didn't get a notification until Monday when a second caller left a message.
This is quite widespread and has affected a few staff, at least the ones that have complained of it. One staff member had stopped getting the notifications altogether and it wasn't until they power cycled their phone that they got the notifications. I called yesterday to log a ticket on my own phone and was promised a call back but of course ...
