I'm on my backup (Woosh) link.

My Xnet conenction is more or less dead (Mt Albert) and I am unable to raise connections over my backup link or over the phone to locations in Northcote, Takapuna, Mangawhai.

Did someone trip over a cable? :)

Andrew

This morning at approximately 9.02am we experienced an equipment failure causing problems with multiple services - This problem was resolved at 9.22am.  We are still investigating the root cause of equipment failure and hope to have answers soon.

Please restart your equipment (Internet Router/Modem then Voice Adaptor) if still experiencing problems.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Has this affected your Internet time servers? Got a few customers stuck in the 1970's with incorrect date & time, even after rebooting etc.

Last night I had a couple of times no DSL connection (not just PPP, but DSL). Rebooting my modem got it going again. I can appreciate that it is probably not due to the issue discussed here, but there is more. We did not use the phone at all yesterday, and this morning the DSL was down again and then after a modem reboot I discovered the phone is not working either. The client certificate is installed, but it is not registering. Tried reboot, but no go. Is this related to the equipment failure you had yesterday?  I've got a RTA1320 and WRTP54G.

My father is seriously ill in South Africa and we are desperate to get the phone up again. Had no trouble at all in the 15 months we have been on VFX and then Fusion, until now. (Note I have done a help desk e-mail.)

No this has nothing to do with yesterday Niel, but I will take a look at your line, can you PM your details Niel

Firts step if you could please is power down both devices, then power the router then wrtp.

Hi Niel,

Looking now we do not see anything coming from your IP address at all SIP wise, can you send a quick ping to 58.28.20.150 and I will see if it's getting to us, possibly the unit is faulty,  can you post the screen shot of the Voice stataus page

You are pinged.

Was thinking of doing a factory reset on the voice, but need a password...

see the pings fine so it's looking like the unit, so 2 things, first have you repowered the devices as I havn't seen it pick up a config which it should do on a reboot , can yopu also post a Screen shot of the voice screen. I would like to know what the registartion is saying.

Second if no go there can you try the factory reset , from the phone dial ****   then 73738#   then 1,  hopefully it won't ask for a password, this should factory reset the unit.

Cycled power once this morning.  When I first signed up to VFX, the operator got my MAC wrong (I filled it correct on the form and said it correct over the phone).  Is it possible that after yesterday morning somehow you have reverted to the incorrect MAC?

Will try reset to defaults in a moment.

The codes worked, but the voice section did not reset.  Was it supposed to be option 2 instead of 1?

No Niel, the issue yesterady is not not related in any way. I do not see your device even try to pick up its config the last time was the 15th we have not seen it since then, and I take it you have reset the device ?

On the off chance do you have some static DNS entries in the config anywhere if you have set up a static IP
