Hello everyone

I decided to switch from spark to Vodafone, unfortunately started the porting number process on 9pm on 15th feburary Friday ,unknown to me it that they dont work on Saturday or Sunday at all, i thought take a few hours extra .its now Sunday 11am my number still has not been switched over.
After ringing help desk a few times they now say around 11am tomorrow Monday. 18th feburary
I've missed all calls text on spark number ,not to mention iam not happy at all . Please can you change your porting terms on your website sumone else does not have this unfortunate problem

Vodafone:

" It will take around 4 business hours (Monday to Friday) to bring your number across from your previous provider."

But really should say if port your number on a Friday night u could be up to 3days if not more .

I've switched my kids phs from spark to skinny only took 2 hours .I presume Vodafone was the same silly naive me..

Disappointed

It does say 4 Business Hours.

Business Hours are generally regarded as 9am to 5pm.

Porting is done during the weekend (I went VF to 2degrees about a month back and it happened on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately it sounds like you have a failed port which needs manual intervention (Which wont happen until business hours).

Seems rather strange to start at 9am at night. Mobile porting is a pretty automated process these days so normally happens without issue. There is probably something wrong with your number or account that has stopped the port mid way.

Definitely not being a dairy farmer but keen to answer your dairy farming expertise questions....

the whole point iam making is just write on the terms and conditions porting on weekends could takes hours and even days to solve ,I dont think that's a unreasonable request.
Then people wont do it on weekends like I unfortunately did
