Wondering if anybody else is experiencing this problem:

My partner decided that the Starter deal sounds pretty good and swapped over from Prepay on Sunday. Everything looked good when she got an email saying the transfer was completed on Monday afternoon...until she realised that she couldn't send text messages. After three calls that day, the final CSR (who was admittedly very friendly and helpful, and we were calling after the 8pm general enquiry cutoff) advised us that there was an IT issue since the weekend with a number of customers who had transferred either to or from prepay/account where they could no longer send txts, and that an external IT company was dealing with the issue.

I called again yesterday morning and was advised that the problem was still not fixed and they were working on it. While I understand that the odd problem can be expected from time to time (playing the optimist card here), I would have though that the resolution time for such a basic network feature would be sooner.

My partner isn't quite so generous and really wishes she hadn't bothered changing at all.

Yep this is a known problem which as far as I can tell was with most if not all prepay to account sign ups that occured late last week.  It still hasn't been resolved so I am assuming it isn't an easy fix.
