I'm on a vodafone on-account plan, which includes 100mb data. I was using the internet, and received a warning SMS that as a casual data user I had used 8mb data.
I am not a casual data user, so I was confused as to why I would receive a casual data SMS.
Phoned vodafone, their answer system requests me to enter my pin number, so I do so.
CSR eventually answers: What is your phone number.
ME: The phone I'm calling from.
CSR: We don't know that .
Me: OK my phone # is 021-xxxxxx, and the pin number is the same as I typed before.
CSR: We don't know the pin number either.
Me: Then, why do you make customers type it?
CSR: Thats how it works.
Me: explain prob.....casual data warning sms received but I'm on 100mb plan.
CSR: It's probably a bug in our sms.
Me: OK bye.
Now, why on earth does vodafone customer services not know the number you are calling from, and why do these stupid people insist on typing your pin number when it is not even used by their system. You always have to repeat it.
I can only assume vodafone are run by incompetents. I'm still getting those casual data sms warnings, the CSR did not seem to care as to why.
