Vodafone and Telecom say they are working to fix outages on their broadband and mobile services.

Vodafone said a widespread internet browsing issue was affecting access to international websites and it believed the problem was affecting all internet service providers.

Vodafone customers reported they were unable to access sites hosted outside of New Zealand.

Telecom's website was reporting "a technical fault" affecting connectivity for its broadband customers. It is not know if the fault was the same affecting Vodafone customers.

Telecom Customers in Wellington and the lower South Island have reported their internet is down.

Some Vodafone mobile customers in Wellington have also reported problems with network congestion and slow mobile internet.

Anyone know anything about this? Did Vodafone actually say it thinks it's hitting all ISP's??

Most problems are the result of previous solutions...

Regardless of source, I read from other users experiencing no traffic on Vodafone 3G. Apparently something wrong with Vocus upstream.

I'd say Vodafone and Telecom problems are not related.

Looks like it is working now. I don't have any info on root causes.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

Is this working for anyone?

http://www.vodafone.co.nz/myvodafone/

I signed on today (first time in many months), and was changing my password and the "505" error occurred.

I'm wondering, is the myvodafone unreliable? Given it is the first time I used it for a long time and it is not working.

I think they had an issue today, was timing out when I was trying to get data usage for a few months for different numbers.

The VF website was down for a while too.

Telecom DSL links went down around 12:30 for approx 45 mins. I am aware of outages in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Nelson. Their Broadband 0800 number was overloaded so I suspect a lot of customers affected. It took about 30 mins for the message to appear on their status page. Despite the media release suggesting that it was minor, I suspect it was quite widespread.
Going by the symptoms it sounds like a different issue to Vodafone's.

I remember when Voda were changing to Vocus, everything went haywire for ages, that was last year btw.  My fixed line BB is back to normal, well as far as I can tell anyway :P

Maybe it's the government's firewalls / filters playing up....breaking access for us all on ISPs who pass their traffic through them "voluntarily".

My toaster isn't working and the cat really kicked up a huge mess her in litter box tonight.

Could this also be related?

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.
