Hi Kevin,

While we are not able to fully support the setup of Non-Trustpower supplied routers, there should not be any reason why you cannot use the Nighthawk router on a Trustpower UFB Service.

I believe following settings/configuration should work for configuring the Nighthawk for a Trustpower UFB Service:

Ensure the WAN Port is plugged directly to the LAN1 Port on the ONT

Under Advanced-> Setup -> Internet Setup

Does your Internet Connection require a login? No
Internet IP Address: Get Dynamically from ISP
DNS Address: Get Automatically from ISP
Router MAC Address: Use Default Address

Click Apply/Save

Under Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> VLAN/IPTV Settings

Enable VLAN/IPTV Setup - Tick to Enable
Select "BY VLAN Tag group"

This may already be set up, if so - Just tick to Enable
If not: Add the below

Name: Internet
VLAN ID: 10
Priority: 0
Wired Ports: All
Wireless: All

Click Apply (Would suggest to reboot the router once this is done)

Please Note - If you are switching from another router that is currently connected/online, You may need to wait up to 5 minutes for the New Router to be able to authenticate.

Hopefully the above settings should get you all up and running with the Nighthawk Router

Thanks

Tane

Thank you folks, your help has been tremendous and the D7000 has now logged onto the Trustpower Fibre network.

The problem was solved by doing the following :

Reset the router to factory defaults (This was necessary as some of the tick boxes were grayed out and could not be changed)

Downloaded the latest firmware and installed

Followed the instructions as outlined by Banana? (an others)

My first attempt was not so good (I had ticked the login box) as the letter that was received from Trustpower kind of indicated that a username and password may be needed

Once I sorted that out - all was good

Trustpower also responded to my request for information which confirmed what I had done was correct and I thank them for that

Once again Thanks
