Im extremely happy with Kogan, ive been with them for a year so far and just signed on for another year
Only issue is if you get appointment reminder text messages asking you to reply to confirm your appointment, you can't do this with Kogan. No idea why.

Is there a list anywhere on their website that contains pricing for things outside the plans? e.g international SMS, casual rates, etc

This is usually because the reply text is not covered in the free text bundle and will incur the standard 20c text charge. So if you have no credit balance on the account, then you can't reply to these text. Same happens on 2 degrees when you have an autopay plan, but no credit balance.
I tell these places using these things that I refuse to pay to text back to them and they should just send from a normal number and they dont seem to care. Shortcodes are the biggest scam since 0900 numbers for phones.

Late reply, but I've just been looking on their website for international calling rates, etc. It appears you can only call NZ and AU numbers and would have to use an app like Skype for international. That means I will probably stay with Skinny so I can continue to call non-internet enabled, older relatives.
No casual rates.

Guessing that includes texting Short codes too that don't fall under unlimited SMS?

You can call international numbers with this add-on: International Calls Add-On.
deadcut: Anyone else getting 5G on Kogan? Pleasant surprise. No doubt a mistake of some kind.
It's been alive since Vodafone turned on 5G. No mistake.

Maybe Vodafone have turned on a new 5G site where you live

Works Auckland wide as far as I can tell. Kogan only advertises 4g and my carrier name is Voda Nz on my new phone funnily enough.
It works wherever VFNZ has 5G towers and are live. So it's more than just Auckland.
Also that leads me to believe you've acquired an iPhone so it won't show Kogan Mobile just whatever VFNZ decides to call themselves(since it changes a lot)
