We didn't receive the alert on any of our three cell phones. Watching TVONE News, so radio off. Should also have come over the TV to be most effective.
Strange, my partner's Galaxy S6 got it, but my S7 didn't?
Yet my S7 got the ones in error a year or so back in the wee small hours!
Behodar:Djmixerdomo: I wasn't aware this was happing, came through my headphones at full volume while I was cutting veges.Yikes. What sort of phone? Blasting your eardrums out is not a good idea!
PC: 5800X3D/32GB/RTX3070
Car: Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
I didn't hear my partner's Samsung (I don't know what model phone it is) make any sounds.
Worked on my Oneplus 2 phone on 2degrees. Pretty good that they've found something that seems pretty well supported by parallel imported phones.
It still suck that it seems not to break out of silent mode though.
Redmi 4x, 2degrees nothing.

Ah, I'm using Signal as my SMS app, that may be the reason.

tardtasticx: 3 iPhone users in the house all of us got it.
My XS Max didn’t make a sound however. It was on silent, and vibrated. I toggled the silent switch and it briefly sirened (for about half a second if that). Strange behaviour which I don’t think is how it should work?
Same thing happened on my XS Max. Does all iOS devices just vibrate for this alert when on silent?
When the previous test was done last year my iPhone was on silent and it only vibrated - no sound. It would be really interesting to know how iPhones behave when on Do Not Disturb mode.
These emergency notices do not appear to trigger any sort of alert on my Apple Watch so it would be very easy to miss them.
On my HTC 10, I just got a text message so no way to tell if emergency or just regular text. At least it did come through
Seen plenty of posts from Civil Defense since the test that they are trying to get feedback, link here: https://www.research.net/r/Ema-Feedback
