Anyone know of a key board shortcut to close a full screen metro app?
Alt+F4 doesn't appear to work when its full screen.

kiwifidget: Can you do an in-place upgrade of Win7Pro to Win10TP, or do you have to install to an empty drive?
Also, what happens when it gets released properly? Reinstall again from scratch?

you can upgrade 7, 8 and 8.1 or fresh install

@Nathan. Who knows what will happen when it goes to general release? I've just accepted that worst(?) case is a clean install. Probably won't do my system any harm getting a clean install, anyway.

installing now, wish me luck.

test some games on it, visual studio, displayfusion, hopefully theyve improved multimonitor support (8.1 finally added a taskbar for each screen, but doesnt work with nvidia surround setup)

upgrade went smooth, display fusion works, everything appears to work.

i like the new start menu, basically perfect IMO. however I also never disliked the start screen (might switch back to that)

Install went very well on Asus F6V laptop (new install). Only driver not installed OOB, was the modem. The Win7 drivers didnt make the yellow triangle go away in Device Manager. But... who uses modems anymore?! I do hate seeing that triangle there though.
I've had one instance of the OS crashing and restarting, not sure why coz the error only showed for 0.03 seconds. Also had the feedback app freeze up the whole OS, which required the big lean on the on/off switch to get things going again. But overall not too bad.

Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!

Install W10 on a Q6600 quad core with 4GB RAM and a 60GB SSD today. It's quite snappy, faster than XP it seems but XP was on a HDD so that's possibly why. It seems to work perfectly. There are some compatibility issues, Avast doesn't work, .Net didn't want to install with Ninite, but should be fine for most things.

And I have to say, it's not like MS were hiding anything either - it's in the privacy policy, which you are agreeing to (whether you read it or not) when you use Windows 10...And of course, you can, and should, if you care about the privacy of your data, read and understand it before using the software. If you don't then you really can't complain...

Fair enough,just thought I'd raise the issue.

Out of curiousity and ignorance, if I ran this on my main machine within a virtual machine would any information from my main partition be accessable to the telemetry function.
(ie Im very cautious about my giving my personal email address out which why its still spam free 14 years)

Odd that ALT+F4 doesn't work =/ But you can click at the top of the screen, hold the left button down, and drag the window to the bottom edge of the screen. This should close the app.

Of course there is no way MS is going to sniff your email address and spam you
