Behodar: Does anyone know how to set your current location in Maps?

Do you have location turned on in settings/privacy? As well as setting windows maps to On, for apps that can use your location?
If so, click the location icon, 3rd from top in the vertical bar on the right of the map app.

Oh and doing that, may just show the top half of the North Island, but if you don't live in Auckland, drag the map until you find the home icon.

I think you may have misunderstood me. I want to set the current location (it's completely wrong).

If you didn't misunderstand: When I click the third button it plonks a dot on top of Auckland, but I don't seem to be able to drag it. I can't move it, can't right-click it, I can left-click it but the address is greyed out and can't be edited.

PS. Argh, TinyMCE + Edge = World of frustration.

I see your problem now, and I am trying to find a solution for it too.

I ended up getting the download tool and making a bootable pen drive.  Then used it to do an upgrade on my PC and a  Upgrade followed by a clean install on my surface pro.

On my PC, I needed to update to the latest AMD drivers and there was an update to OneDrive.

Has anyone done an upgrade from windows 7, and does all software such as outlook 2010, photoshop etc still work fine? I have done it from windows 8.1, but that isn't as much of a leap, as from windows 7, as 8.1 isn't too dissimilar from 10 apart from the start menu. I am wondering if a clean install from windows 7 is not a better idea.

I'm pretty sure that's deliberate. If you're on another platform, and the location marker cannot determine your location properly, it will just drop a fixed marker, so the same is happening here.

I'm guessing you want something as a start/end point for directions? If that's the case, it appears that it doesn't support that, and you'll need to do address lookup. You can then use the Favourites feature to store it for quick lookup when creating queries for directions.

The download is really slow now? I did two Win10Pro downloads this afternoon and they went quite quickly, but now downloading Win10HOME and its taking ages. 3 hours for 27%.

Home and a Pro both use the same media; it's only the product key that changes.

As for Maps, it seems like a poor design decision if there is no way to tell it (and save) where you are.

I've upgraded 8 PCs from Win 7 Pro (fully updated) to Win 10 Pro today, including all software / apps.

No problems detected with any software - including Office 2010 and Photoshop Elements 11.

No clean install required.

Is Edge going to be able to import bookmarks from any other browser other than Internet Explorer? Also, will you be able to right click on the favourites bar and add bookmarks in upcoming versions?
