Nope. This thread complains you have to use autodiscover - but was for the preview:
https://community.office365.com/en-us/office_2016_preview/f/991/t/347764

http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/exchange-account-set-up-missing-in-outlook-2016/

So it works - if you have autodiscover is configured. (which it should be - cretins).

I had no problems using autodiscovery for Geekzone, but it stalled when trying to configure my other Office 365 account... Trying to find out why through our support folks.

After a bit of google searching I've discovered why Office 2016 wont be available for our Office 365 Subscription for quite some time

W
e're being shepherded to a new 'Plan' with the following features removed:

-Microsoft Access
-PSTN capabilities of Microsoft Lync (required on-premises deployment of Lync Server 2013)
-IT controls: Group policy, app telemetry
-Excel BI features: PowerPivot, Corp Data Access, spreadsheet compare/inquire
-Remote Desktop Services

I'm not sure if there is a cost implication.

I'm very worried about the 1st and last items on that list. Without Remote Desktop Services, is it correct I can no longer use my Office 365 login on a terminal services login?

I agree, I'll be seriously unhappy if this is the case.

I really hate how it seems MS is all over the place with it's plans, gives us ZERO confidence in the product as a reseller.

It doesn't feel to me that they have a real plan, they just react to specific scenarios without thinking things through.

Agreed, it's certainly difficult to plan a business' IT infrastructure around their cloud services when the goal-posts get moved like this.

Outlook 2016 - you can't drag n drop multiple attachments between emails. Cntrl + click will not select multiple. Hopefully this will be a soon to be sorted bug. I have a couple of customers who do this frequently, so having to now drag n drop one attachment at a time is very frustrating and time consuming.

It's not all bad. I like how when you go to attach, it has a list of recent files there, so often makes attaching quicker.
Also it's good that you can quickly search emails "from" a contact.

Are you mean between email accounts,   e.e. Exchange and pop3 or active sync?..  If so it was that way in Outlook 2013

Hi Dairyxox, we sunsetted Midsize Business plans back in September last year, and we have provided a 1 year notice period to move to the new plans. At the time we launched the new 'Business' plans. These include a reduced price point and other functionality [eg. increased seat cap, yammer etc], and more flexibility. Most customers could switch to the new plans straightaway, for those on Open licensing you can move after Dec1st automatically. You are correct that we have removed some of the features of the Office client that came with Midsize plan, this is because the new plan is SMB focused and a lower price point. Customers that need these features should move to the OfficeProPlus client.

Note that with the introduction of Shared Computer Activation feature in Office 365 Proplus we now properly support RDS/VDI environments and thus the Office VL client workaround for Midsize plan under Open was discontinued. And the biggest benefit of the new plans is that you can mix and match, so you can have some people on Business, some on Exchange Online only, some on Proplus, etc......You can move to these new plans now per: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Switch-to-a-different-Office-365-plan-or-subscription-73318661-8f33-478b-bcc7-fb8d69dbb22a

Regarding the comments about changing plans, we have only made 2 major plan changes to Office365 since its launch in July 2011, the first was the introduction of Midsize plan in 2013 to provide a low cost Office 'cloud' offering, and then the new Business plans in Sept 2014. This was a huge step forward in the purchasing, flexibility and use of Office 365. Oh and we keep lowing the price!

On a related note, anyone running Office365 with OfficeProPlus can get 2016 Bits now, just switch on First Release features,
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Office-365-release-options-3b3adfa4-1777-4ff0-b606-fb8732101f47

Business plan customers will get pushed the update, or can install from the portal. Also refer to
https://community.office365.com/en-us/w/officeapps/office-2016-problems-and-solutions-and-frequently-asked-questions

I'd be happy to discuss any of this in more detail. Please email me at nzcloud@microsoft.com

No, within they same email account. E.g. Someone emails you 10 pictures, you want to email someone else 5 of these. You use to be able to select e.g 5 of those attachments from directly within the email, drag and drop them into the new email your are creating, or copy & paste.
Now it's one at a time.

Hmmm. I had no problem adding my Geekzone O365 account to Outlook 2016 on a fresh install... But when I tried adding my work O365 account it just stalled there during the discovery phase. Not sure why as it worked on Outlook 2013 and there's no error. Support tells me to wait a bit longer seeing my home laptop is not on the domain and this could change the way auto-discovery works.

Will try again during the weekend...
