How many people have found websites that have broken on IE9. I have found a few, but I have found most others have code to force IE to go into compatibility mode, which forces it to appear like it would in IE7 I guess.

The ones I have found are ones that use  jquery, and relates to things like slideshows on the website, but updating to the latest version of jquery should fix that.

I am using IE9RC. I find some websites including GZ that if I hold down Ctrl and click a link to open a new tab that IE closes and I have to click close program for the new tab to then load, but the original page stays open. Any ideas on what's happening there?

Arguing about the merits ad blocking these days is like arguing about politics and religion, tends to go no where fast.

So back on topic...

On our sites I have found some old javascript that breaks in IE9, particularly old versions of YUI/ExtJS and jQuery.  

Also a couple of weird css issues particularly inheritance of font-weight and margin settings.

Haven't seen this happening. I would look at add-ons and toolbars you might have installed.

I've found that with IE9, the NZ Herald videos do not synch the voice and video properly. Did a test with IE9 and Firefox side by side, and Firefox had no problem at all.

with the IE9 RC i came across several sites that wouldnt work when you stuck in a username and password and pressed a button, or stuck in a credit card number and pressed a button. Javascript issues i think. They all subsequently worked when I hit the compatibily button though.

is it some videos or all videos? I just played the below one in IE9 RTM version and it played fine. no sync issues.

IE9 doesn't show the JScript based navigation menu in Juniper's ScreenOS.

Another issue I've found is that you need to give "Full Control" permission to a network share if you want to save to it.

Interesting because looking at the ZDNet post it seems IE9 javascript engine is faster than Chrome's own...

kyhwana2: Requiring a reboot for a browser install isn't on. So I won't be "using it" until the next windows update requires a reboot. (Which will be next month, I imagine)

How fast do you warp heatsinks?
I found it annoying also, but I needed to restart for some updates anyway, which was lucky, as I don't like turning off my pc until I finish using it...
