I've just enabled fTPM on my (AMD) motherboard and now get the "This PC can run Windows 11" message.
UEFI with secure boot was already setup.
I use a HPE ML110 Gen 10 server as a desktop and might need to invest on a TPM chip then...

I wonder whether MS warned the hardware manufacturers that there's likely to be a sudden demand for TPM addons, or whether we're going to run into supply issues.
So much for windows 10 being the last version. Also seems to be a bit like going back in time, with Aero type of glass effect and widgets. Is there a cost to upgrade an windows 10 machine? I have seen conflicting info on this. Is this going to be another ME / Vista / Win 8 version, as every alternate version of windows seems to be a bad version? eg (Win XP, 7, and 10 are considered to be good versions)

Third paragraph of my OP: "Windows 11 will be available on new PCs and through a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs beginning this holiday."

I've seen a reference to 'drivers being bundled with the Windows OS' a couple of times now. It's important to call out that the drivers included with the Windows OS provide basic/core functionality to get the OS running. Windows devices bought from HP/Acer/Dell etc, include drivers sourced from the OEM hardware suppliers and are installed with whatever bundled software into the OS by the manufacturer.
I'm not sure I understand the purpose of your post.
Hah, just had a peek at my insider settings.
Should be interesting next week 🤞🏽
Looks like my faithful AthlonII X2 260 won't cut the mustard. Time to start saving to buy a new PC in a few years time.
Here is a video with some UI elements (and the start sound):

Flabbergasted!
The brand new PC I bought September last year doesn't pass the Win11 test.
Which of these things is the likely culprit?
And my olde HP Probook 430 G3 doesn't cut the mustard either.
But at least I can see that its i5-6200U processor is not on the list.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!
@kiwifidget does it have a TPM chip?

I don't know. How do I check for one?

This document C152wXbGr+S.pdf (ssl-images-amazon.com) item 3.6.6 (PDF) seems to say there's a TPM configuration in the BIOS. Have you checked it?
