From now on builds will be released only through Windows Update so Microsoft can test the channel and scale up if needed...

ISO's have been stopped as it seems MS wants to test the online upgrade process. Pretty reasonable, of course, as they don't want millions of failures next month!!

Edit:- MF just beat me!

What are the options to do a full clean install of W10?

I've been trialling on an old HP laptop and am thinking a cheap SSD and W10 could be ideal for this use.

Tried the clean install button in the control panel recovery options?

Clean install is also available installing from iso. I clean installed from 10162 but unsure if activation is still available for 10162 and if update to 10240 is dependent on that.

The keys you use to activate 10162/10166 etc will now no longer work.

Is there a price indication on this though?
- Given a clean install is not a direct upgrade.

You do an upgrade install then get the media (how, we are not sure yet) and then do a clean install = FREE

You have a genuine licensed version of Windows 7/8?

Then the upgrade is free. You'll be able to do a clean install If you want instead of an upgrade.

We will release instructions on the process how to do this when we release July 29.
