Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

So basically, I had some extensions repeatedly installing themselves on both Firefox & Chrome, so I ran AdwCleaner. It seemed to successfully detect the files to delete, so I pressed clean and allowed the program to restart the computer. However on startup, neither Firefox or Chrome would start. I checked task manager and both programs' processes appeared when I launched the programs but then subsequently disappeared after a few seconds. The funny thing however is that Internet Explorer still functions correctly (I had to re-enable it in Programs & Features haha).
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated,
