Hi

I check this list of hardening tips for securing my server

https://likegeeks.com/secure-linux-server-hardening-best-practices/

As long as logs don't contain any sensitive info, why should I care?

Thanks

Forensics. If the logs aren't secured an attacker can clean up their tracks. Always work on the assumption you will be compromised at some point.
