Hi

I have accidentally found out that iCal can synchronise with my Yahoo Xtra calendar which in turn syncs to my iphone. Brilliant as I like using iCal but need to make sure any updates I make on my iphone automatically update my online calendar.

Thinking I could replicate this same relationship with Mac mail, Xtra Mail and my iphone has not been so easy as I am struggling to make sense of it. My iphone syncs to xtra mail perfectly but I can't seem to bring Mac Mail into the mix.

Is this possible?

As far as I am aware the Yahoo Xtra mail only uses a pop server and doesn't support imap.

MacMail settings would be the standard ones of -

Account Type - pop
Incoming - pop3.xtra.co.nz SSL port 995
Outgoing - send.xtra.co.nz SSL Custom Port 465 Authentication Password

After setting up check the Advanced tab to ensure that it is set to leave a copy of messages on the server. From memory OSX 10.6 doesn't have this option selected, but earlier versions do.
