Hello folks!

We have something for our Wellington users (or from outside if you want to travel too):

You are invited to an exclusive technology demo and Q&A about a New Zealand first product launch, especially arranged for Geekzone users!Full details of this exclusive event will be released at midday on 3rd May. We will send an email out on the day to all registered attendees with details about this technology. We are pretty excited a lot will change from now!

Numbers are limited, so please register now to secure your attendance.

Attendance is free, but only members who register in advance can attend. We will share registration details with sponsors.

Now, you will notice I have not posted who the sponsors are, for a good reason: the product/service/concept won't be announced to the public until the 3rd May 12pm - but we arranged an exclusive opportunity here in Wellington where this new "thing" will be demonstrated while we enjoy some drinks and nibbles, exchange ideas, and think of the possibilities!

The event is 3rd May 6 - 7 pm.

After the demo there will be opportunity for some Q&A, and some spot prizes afterwards.

We can't say much, but if you want to know more about this before deciding to attend, let me say it's something you can use every day, carry with you, use to interact with other people, etc.

Obviously, after you see this in action I expect you to go around and tell others - well, after having your free beer ;)

We have limited the number of people attending to 80.

Tickets are free and available now from our event page. Because of the limited space you need to register to attend the event.

Registered for my first Geekzone event of any kind...

So considering 'out-of-band' means something going on outside of the normal channels, and adding technology to that definition it could be any new sort of communication framework.

The "out-of-band" is just that we decided on this event outside the normal schedule of once a year Geekzone pizza rounds...

Where in Wellington is it (rough location only)? How long is it for?
Is this something you could attend in a lunchtime or is it a longer event?
