Feels (Hopefully) like a domestic act of terrorism. Seems like they have a suspect in custody in the last few minutes.

An 8 year old boy has been confirmed dead. 17 in Critical condition, 132 Wounded as of the last CNN Breaking News Update.

What a horrible waste of life. One wonders what message you hope to send with a method such as this!

I always struggle to understand why humans insist on killing each other.

Being taken in for questioning is not a suspect.

Err what? They don't take random people who they don't suspect of being related in for questioning.

I will reserve judgement but initial impression is of being an internal act.

I just read about this. This is crazy why do people do this. They also suspect gas explosion according to the video. So can't say for sure at this stage. Hope the people responsible will be punished for this.

Unlikely, given they found two more unexploded bombs and defused them.

Unlikely as they had emergency crews working on taking ball bearings out of people's bodies.

You should get a better source for your news.

From what I have read, the bomb/s went off close to a VIP area near the finish line.
Some of those VIPs were parents of the victims of the Sandy Hook school shootings.

My money is on a crazy national who doesn't want stricter gun controls.

As the father of an 8 year old boy, this is just too tragic for words...

What could anyone possibly hope to achieve other than global condemnation, with an act like this?

Evil personified.

Their idiotic legal system will likely see the perpetrator go free on a technicality and then be paid for book rights and a film.

I think its more likely he will be given the death penalty (not sure on state law) or concurrent life sentences for the 3 deaths, they are a lot less lenient than NZ...

I spent much of the morning on conference calls with colleagues in Boston. While the subject was mostly avoided as people tried to get on with work, every now and then someone would chime in with a new piece of news and those on the call were clearly quite shaken when it was brought up.

Very sad. Hope they get those responsible.

Wait, what?  Are we talking about the same United States of America that not only still has executions, but is comfortable keeping people locked up in a prison on foreign soil without a fair and open trial for quite possibly the rest of their natural life?

Somehow I don't think the person(s) they catch for this, be they actually the guilty parties or not, will be very happy with the outcome.
