My wife and I are running out of TV shows to watch. Based on what we like below can anyone recommend any others we could try? Especially long running shows we can get into

Really like:
 - Breaking bad, better call saul
 - Downton Abbey (wife is English)
 - Masters of s3x
 - Manhatten
 - Big Bang Theory
 - Suits

Liked
 - Star trek tng/voyager/etc (not tos)
 - Orange is the new black
 - Friends (mostly for retro aspect)
 - Simpsons (bit bland)
 - Mad Men (wife)
 - Game of Thrones (wife)
 - How I met your mother
 - The newsroom

Don't like
 - Most detective shows (CSI)
 - Sherlock (smug bugger)
 - American politics
 - Anything superhero or comic based
 - Anything that's mostly action
 - Reality TV
 - Top gear

I know I've forgotten heaps, I'll edit this as people suggest stuff we've already watched!

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - very funny - gets better and better as the episodes go on.

Have you tried Agents of Shield.  It is a really good Marvel spin off.

And Agent Carter which is another Marvel spin off, not quite as good as Agents of Shield but it was really good for me and the wife to watch together.

Justified is great, if you like Suits you will like Justified. Bit more violent than Suits but very similar sort of humour.

Also, Entourage is pretty funny. Plus for the inner geek Silicon Valley is brilliant.

The Wire, outstanding show about the city of Baltimore and different aspects of it interacting with the police; drugs, shipping, government, school and News media for the five seasons.

Here's some we watched and enjoy, along with the services we watched them on (just in case you need help finding them) :-

Friday Night Lights (Netflix, Lightbox)
True Love (HBO Now)
Life's Too Short (HBO Now)
Derek (Netflix)
True Detective (HBO Now)
Vikings (Netflix, Hulu, Lightbox)
Moone Boy (Hulu, Lightbox)
Parenthood (Hulu)
Better Call Saul (Netflix, Lightbox)
Modern Family (Hulu)
Nashville (Hulu)
Empire (Hulu)
Boston Legal (Lightbox)
The Goldbergs (Hulu)
The Almighty Johnsons (Netflix)

You say you don't like American politics, but as you also have The Newsroom listed (which I find very political), I'll also suggest

House of Cards (Netflix, Lightbox)
The West Wing (Netflix... I think; was a while since we watched it)

Also we've not revisited it to see if it still appeals, but we used to watch Weeds (Netflix) when it was first on TV. As it's from the person who wrote OITNB, it may also be worth checking out.

The first four seasons of The West Wing are truly glorious if you like great dialogue.

Personally I am an NCIS fan and there is an awful lot of that to watch.

I agree with Agent Carter, etc, but you have said you don't like the comic book based shows.

Person of Interest is another awesome show. There are three seasons so far and it is looking like there will be a shortened 4th season to finish up the story.
