Banks. I transfer a bit o money from our bank to our other (different company) bank yesterday (Monday) and it says the other bank should receive it by Friday. What the heck do they do to take so long, is this the real reason we have things called Bank Holidays...are their computers on holiday, do they have rows of people sitting in front of abacuses (abaci ?) and ledgers moving real money from one bank to another ?

I was told it’s a requirement. Something to do with the anti money laundering measures

I think that's the main reason. I realise the poster isn't transferring a large amount. But that's what got Westpac into trouble recently.

Technofreak: Smart/fitness watches that only have the stupid US MM/DD date option. Looking at you Fitbit.

My G-SHOCK only has that date option and it drives me nuts. A lot of my work is in US date format too so you think I'd be used to it. But nope.

When you go to spend the Jaycar rewards you earned last year only to discover they expire after 6 months (most of which was during a lockdown). Especially since no one mentioned that at the time and they don't send a reminder.

They had no interest in entering into a discussion about it. Thumbs down Jaycar. 🙁

When a company says "subscribe to our newsletter and get 20% off your next purchase" but provides zero information around how to claim this discount on your next order. I suspect it's a scam...

The fact that the percentage of my blocked queries continues to rise steadily, despite strict opt-out options, is all „to enhance my internet experience.“ No merci.

Bung: Did the Captain not make his cabin available?

He apologised, but his mistress was using it today.

I read an article last year about a study that demonstrated that AML processes actually cost more than the value of the criminal activity they detected.

Large groups of muppets on hired cycles riding down the middle of road or all over the road in Martinborough causing us to have to come to a complete stop in the middle of the road.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I am sure my wife’s Sense has our time format. Maybe wrong, I shall check.

Edit: just checked wife’s Sense and it has NZ date format

This is a Charge 5. Both of us have tried to find where you change it but no luck. If anyone can find a way that'd be much appreciated.

I have the same problem on my Amazfit GTR2. Grrrr

Looks like a Charge 5 issue on specific watch faces

Another one;

When you discover that the previous owner (a builder) of your home used unmatched sizes and head types to hold various things together... Making every DIY job that little bit more maddening.

Have literally removed hundreds of screws, very few alike. Thanks mate!
